GREEN HEART GALLERY
-Gallery in Sydney CBD

Deforestation is becoming a huge problem all over the world. Deforestation is the permanent removal of trees. In the past few years, we lost trees and plants on our planet. The big fire in the Amazon forest and the bush fire in Australia bring lots of attention to this climate issue. As a huge amount of forest reducing, we are not only losing trees and plants. We are also losing our homes.
This project is a combination of the Gallery and urban garden. This complex aims to create a public space with an educational purpose. To make people realize how emergency of the climate change problems, especially deforestation. The best way is to make people feel deep in their hearts and create a connection between nature and humans. Like all novels, they should have both joyful and sad stories. When it comes to the design, creating a physical and emotional journey is the focus of this project. Hence, it is imperative to consider how the building will make occupants feel at all points. Each new part of the journey should introduce different feelings. Starting their journey, they will pass the veterinary centre, inducing feelings of empathy. Moving through the gallery spaces, this empathy will initially be replaced with happiness upon seeing the demonstration path and the world that humans had before. The final stop on the journey will be the rooftop garden – a space designed to connect people to nature and bring on a sense of tranquillity, a refuge from the hectic city life.
